***** WARNING: I WILL / MIGHT / COULD SPOIL YOU. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED. MWAHAHAHA! *****

I can’t even with this book?! Where to even start with this epic book?! Can we just talk about how badass and HOT all these characters are?! I mean Tamlin, Lucien, Fayre, RHYSAND. *swoons* Sarah J Maas knows how to deliver a hell of a fantasy novel! I went into this book not knowing much about it at all only that it was going to be sort of like a Beauty and the Beast retelling and if I’m being completely honest I was just dying to get my hands on anything that Maas was currently writing. (Especially after a lot of my bookish friends were raving about it!!) I mean… the fact that she had SEVEN HIGH LORDS, Lord of the rings anyone? Eh, eh?! I loved that! I loved how DESCREPTIVE and SPECIFIC she was with that fucking curse, LIKE COME ON!!!! Feyre’s character development was so freaking amazing! I mean we have her in the beginning just trying everything and anything she can to try and go back home to her family and no matter how much Tamlin tries to court her she just won’t give in! She’s so damn stubborn and the fact that she had rather spend time with Lucien instead of Tamlin was doing me in! Haha! It sucked so bad that they couldn’t just straight up tell her about that damn curse! Watching her grow from the beginning to the end was fantastic!! I was also totally not expecting her to become one of the High Fae, so when that happened I flipped and squealed with happiness, like holy fucking shit! HELL YEAH, this is going to make this story so much more kick ass, because if she was already a badass you know she’s going to be even more in the upcoming books and then having a SEXY High Lord by her side?! Maas is going to KILL ME. *Swoons Forever*I also really liked how Lucien and Feyre’s friendship turned out even if he couldn’t do much he still tried so hard for her! For a minute when Amarantha put Feyre to kill those three fearies and she said it was two young males and a woman I had a bad feeling they were going to be Alis and her two nephews you should have seen my relief when I realized I was wrong. As much as I loved all the others there was one person I’m so freaking intrigued to know more about… RHYSAND! Holy guacamole, I don’t fully understand what his motives are or what he’s really trying to achieve but I just can’t hate him right now because even if he made a devils deal, he actually HELPED Feyre so, so much and when he needed some peace & quiet he actually went to HER, I mean come on!! A guy who is “evil” and “bad” doesn’t just go on and do… THAT. BUT… but… I also can’t say I love him either because like I said I STILL DON’T KNOW WHAT HIS MOTIVES ARE and I’m dying to know what made him look at Feyre the way he did when he went to say goodbye to her. UGHH. In the beginning I really disliked Nesta! Feyre was the youngest of them all and she was the one providing for her family so they wouldn’t starve to death and her sisters and father wouldn’t do SHIT to help her! But man oh man did I get the surprise of my life when we realized Nesta was never fooled by Tamlin’s glamour, my jaw dropped! HER character development was very shocking, very emotional that I had tears in my eyes, finally big sister taking care of little sister, I loved that! I love how sometimes this story was slow but never ever boring, everything that Maas wrote about had a point in the story… I loved how she incorporated those Bogge things, they kind of reminded me of dementors! It’s like she took something from all these fantasy stories and made it all her own AND IT FLIPPIN’ WORKS FOR HER. I’m so, so excited to continue with this amazing series and I cannot wait to have book two in my hands waiting until next year will possibly be the death of me! So torturous!!!!

Hi guys! Welcome to my Book Blog!

It's always so hard for me to write something 'about' myself because I never know what to actually say... so I'll keep it simple. I'm 21 and currently in Texas. I love reading everything... but my heart is owned by YA, especially fantasy and contemporary. I love chatting with people about books so if you're a bibliophile like me, let's be friends. :)

Saint Anything

Saint Anything - Sarah Dessen 3.8 / 5.0
I feel like there won’t ever be a time where I don’t read something Sarah Dessen writes. She’s been with me through my middle and high school years and it would be hard to break that off BUT I do have issues with some of her writing. She starts off great like always with a potential story line that is intriguing. Sadly as much as I love her she hardly ever delivers. I felt like there could have been so much more to this story... for instance I would have loved for Sydney to actually stay when her dad caught Ames trying to make a move on her, I hate the fact that she never said anything in the first place. How we weren’t able to see her and her brother interact face to face after so long, that would have been nice and lastly, how she went to see David Ibarra but we didn’t get to see her apologize that would have been great because we would have been able to see David’s POV and see how he felt after Sydney explaining all the guilt she had carried all this time. I also wish she would have spoken up to her mom so many times, because man that lady was something else. Like I said I love Sarah Dessen and I’ll still write anything and everything she writes I just felt like this story could have used a little more because the story line was different and great. 

Red Queen

Red Queen - Victoria Aveyard I'd be lying if I said I was NOT expecting that betrayal. It was very obvious from the start... which made me not care for the book as much as many of you did. :( I liked Mare... but I just wasn't able to connect with her as much as I do with other main character from other books. The whole Cal thing was meh... I just didn't feel any sort of spark with them... I don't know. What did redeem the book for me was bringing Shade back I just had a feeling that he wasn't dead and once Julian gave that list to Mare I knew it in my heart that I was right! This story has potential and I'm not giving up on it yet... so hopefully the next book in the series blows me away as much as this first one did for other people!
3.3ish starts for this one. :/
SPOILER ALERT!

The Ruby Circle

The Ruby Circle - Richelle Mead I absolutely LOVED this book.
Reading about Adrian since Vampire Academy and seeing him become the man he is now is so beautiful.
He grew up so much as a character and for that I am very, very proud! The whole Olivia and Neil broke my heart but damn does it give me hope for when Mead said we hadn't seen the last of these guys. I'm a little sad we didn't hear much more from Marcus, Trey, Angeline, Ms. Terwilliger and Wolfe... I was also so proud of Sydney for standing up to her asshole of a father. Clearly we know who the bigger person is here since she could have easily ratted him out for all he has done to her, but she didn't. I'm also stoked Dimitri and Rose are engaged! YAYE! Even though they didn't come out as much in this series I'm seriously so glad we got to read about them more in this book because I had missed and love them so much! and finally I'm glad Eddie got over it and made Jill his girl. :)
I'm so excited to see what else Richelle has in store for us in this awesome Vamp world. I'll miss them... but until then.
:)

Silver Shadows

Silver Shadows - Richelle Mead OMG.
My favorite book so far out of the series. It kept me on the edge of my seat and DAMMIT I'm so happy for Adrian and Sydney and her character development has been freaking amazing so far. I hate her asshole of a "father" and those damn Alchemists. I'm ready to take them down! I'm so excited and scared to finish the last book now! What will I do with my life?!

The Fiery Heart

The Fiery Heart - Richelle Mead Omg.
I hate those damn Alchemists! What the eff, poor Sydney. :(

The Indigo Spell

The Indigo Spell - Richelle Mead Omg! This book.
I was soooo scared I was never going to warm up to Sydney... she was so frustrating at times but I couldn't really be pissed at her because of the way she was brought up as a child... BUT MAN this book made her look like a total badass especially after she finally went to Adrian. ahh that was so beautiful of him, :) I am honestly so freaking excited to start The Fiery Heart and see what it all comes down to especially now that Zoe is in the picture. It'll be interesting to see how Sydney acts. 5/5 for the one and only Richelle Mead!
I still miss Rose though ;)

Days of Blood and Starlight

Days of Blood and Starlight - Laini Taylor Maybe it was the timing? The concept of the story is so different and SO good, but I just don't think my timing was right for this series. I will hopefully try again sometime later this year!

After (The After Series)

After (The After Series) - Anna Todd 3.7ish, maybe? Review up later. I NEED TO VENT.

Fairest

Fairest - Marissa Meyer If anything this book just made me dislike Levan even more. Still good though and we get to see why she is WHO she is. Crazy, crazy!

Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, Book 5)

Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, Book 5) - Richelle Mead I can't even with this book.... SO much happened and everything towards the end was such an emotional roller coaster ride for me. I'm so heartbroken over Rose :(

Beezus and Ramona

Beezus and Ramona - Beverly Cleary I loved these books when I was growing up!
SPOILER ALERT!

Blood Promise

Blood Promise - Richelle Mead I squealed with happiness when we figured out Abe was Rose's dad. Best part of the book for me, for sure.

Pure

Pure - Rebbecca Ray Awful, awful book! Didn't even get halfway.
